Natural Plant-Based Botanicals are the Best Base for Skin Care

More and more health and beauty products are relying on natural and organic ingredients to get the job done. Skin care products are no exception to this new trend, which is a great thing. Many women have come to find out that skin care products that are made with chemicals and the like are too harsh and leave their skin irritated or worse. The adverse effects of these products are not worth the money that they have invested into them. The skin is the human body's largest organ and the skin will react to the things that you treat it with or put on it. Essential oils and other botanical ingredients are the best things that you can use to care for your skin and make it look healthier. Oils will enhance the beauty of your skin as well as regenerate it. More than once, oils have been proven to regenerate skin that has suffered from various different types of skin conditions.

Helichrysum italicum is the first plant-based botanical we will discuss. Helichrysum is an oil that you will find to be expensive, but you can use it in very low concentrations on the whole of your botanical blend. This oil is also know as Everlasting oil and it is distilled from the flowers of the herb. Helichrysum has anti-inflammatory properties and contains regenerative molecules that are unique to this oil. This oil, in fact, is the foundation of many other blends that are used to heal the skin. This oil can also be used by itself instead of in a mix as well. Helichrysum is also used to heal wounds so that there is little or no scarring. If you are looking for the best start on your botanical skin care journey, helichrysum is what you need. Lavender is also used in many skin care blends. Lavender also possesses an anti-inflammatory agent regenerative properties. Lavender is an aroma that is well-loved by many as well, so this may also make it appealing to you. Lavender is a great oil to add into the mix of other oils. It can be used by itself, but is commonly found in with other skin care blends. Another great oil that is used for the treatment of scar tissue is Rosemary. Rosemary also has regenerative properties. Its regenerative properties come from the ketone molecules that it contains. These molecules stimulate cellular metabolism and this oil will help new skin form. This oil will also bring nutrients into cells and help to remove toxins in the skin.

If you plan on trying to make your own botanical oil mix, you must remember that these oils must be diluted. These oils have been proven to work in certain, smaller quantities. You will need to use a carrier oil. The two most common carrier oils that are used are Rosehip and Hazelnut. Rosehip is also an oil that has been used for skin care, but Hazelnut is the oil that is tolerated by more people. If you are having a problem with Rosehip, you should try switching to Hazelnut to see if your skin is more responsive to that oil instead.
